"I'm Mr. Hope" is how Former President Barack Obama characterized himself during an interview with ABC in 2016.
The Former President Obama and his family completed the purchase of an 11.75 million dollar home on Martha’s Vineyard in 2011. The house sits on 325 acres in Edgartown. It is the perfect place for Former President Obama, a visionary of hope.
Edgartown is one of the most popular resorts in Martha’s Vineyard. It is noted for its impressive and quaint architecture. When I visited the Edgartown Lighthouse, I was struck by the idealized setting. Seagulls flew ahead, boats sailed in the distance and people strolled quietly along the beach. It was truly a romanticized image of a lighthouse.
A children's memorial at the lighthouse offers hope, comfort and reminders to loved ones.
Edgartown Lighthouse has always served as a beacon of hope. Once located on Crane's Beach, it replaced a lighthouse that was badly damaged in 1938.
African American Art
Life experiences and a love for art history have profoundly shaped to my artistic voice. Inspired by Impressionism. My Surrealist, and Symbolist art, is infused with symbols the viewer must interpret and discover.
The lines and strokes that dominate these pastel paintings give them form and dimension. The movements and nuances of lines that emanate with energy. They are not static expressions. Ordered thoughts and passionate emotions are my guiding principles. I never considered any of my paintings completed. Each one is an unfinished thought.
